BioShock: The Collection Officially Announced

After months of leaks, popping up on random retailers around the internet, and being listed on ratings boards, 2K has officially announced BioShock: The Collection.  Set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13 in North America, September 15 in Australia, and September 16 internationally, BioShock: The Collection will bundle BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite together for the first time.

Each game will be remastered and run at 1080p/60fps on all platforms.  The Collection will also include all single player DLC from each game, such as Minerva’s Den from BioShock 2 and Burial at Sea Parts 1 & 2 from BioShock Infinite, among others.  The multiplayer from BioShock 2 will reportedly NOT be included, which should mean no multiplayer trophies or achievements (yay!).  Also included in the package will be a new video series with commentary from creative director of both BioShock and BioShock Infinite, Ken Levine.

BioShock: The Collection is one of many recent remastered games/collections hitting this generation of consoles.  This fall we’ll be getting the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and at some point Batman Return to Arkham will also make its way to PS4 and Xbox One.  Not to mention the plethora of remasters/ports we’ve already seen from the likes of Resident Evil, Borderlands, Dead Island, Tomb Raider, and more.  It’s nice to have access to great games, but are all these remasters necessary and have you or will you be picking any of them up?

The real question is, where the hell is my Mass Effect Trilogy remaster?
