GAJ Game Club – The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Jason Arriola is joined by Richard Balmer and Stephanie Kulak to talk about their favorite Zelda game – The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This is not only one of the best games ever made, it also set the structure for nearly every game in the series until Breath of the Wild released last year. It balances just the right amount of hints as to what to do next and leaving enough to the imagination to encourage trying multiple solutions to problems.

You can follow Rich on YouTube for all the video content you kids today crave. And remember when we were trying to do video stuff? Well, our first real shot at it was A Link to the Past. Why not go check it out?

I used Glitterberri for a lot of really interesting reference stuff. You should check out the interviews that they have over there that were translated from some strategy guides for some cool insight!

You’ll hear tracks from the soundtrack, composed by Koji Kondo, throughout the podcast, save for the songs at the end. The first one is “AmIEviL Dark World” by AmIEviL (Stefan Ajax). The second is from this Japanese commercial for the A Link to the Past. And here’s the list of the rest of the tracks I used in the order you hear them.
