Sega 3D Classics Coming Together in a Collection

Sega of America announced that it’s going to be putting some of their 3D Classics onto one package, Sega 3D Classics Collection. Some of these games are currently available on the 3DS eShop while some are becoming available in North America for the first time.

The titles that are already available are Fantasy Zone II WSonic the HedgehogThunder BladeGalaxy Force II, and Altered Beast. The two 3D Classics in the package that are coming to North America for the first time are Power Drift and Puyo Puyo 2, and two that are getting the 3D Classics treatment for the first time are Maze Walker and Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa, both of which originated on the Master System.

Puyo Puyo 2  and Power Drift are both left in Japanese, but do include a digital manual for those of us who can’t read Japanese (me).

If you’re unfamiliar, 3D Classics are games that take advantage of the 3D function of the 3DS (duh) by adding the effect to a game. They also might add additional functionality and features to the game while retaining their original art style and graphics.

The collection will be available in North America for $29.99/CA$44.99 on April 26th, 2016. It will be available both  digitally via the Nintendo eShop and in a physical package (score!). Check out a bunch of screens below.
