After hinting that it would be happening, Sega made it official that Valkyrie Chronicles Remastered would indeed be coming our direction. Releasing in spring of 2016 for the Playstation 4 in North America and Europe, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be available both digitally and physically for the price of $29.99. Honestly, it’s a pretty killer deal!
What sold me on this game originally was someone described as a Rainbow Six: Vegas RPG with a Studio Ghibli aesthetic. If you’re familiar with the obsession I had with Rainbow Six: Vegas and its sequel for almost two years and some of my other interests, you’ll be able to piece together that this was right up my alley.
With this, A Boy and His Blob, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Sega 3D Classics Collection (more on that in a different article coming up soon), and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 with all the previously near-impossible to get e-Reader levels included, the first third of this year is looking to be getting some mighty strong retro releases (Valkyria Chronicles released in 2008, that qualifies as retro as far as I’m concerned).
