If you weren’t subscribing to Amazon Prime before, Amazon announced today that’s adding a 20% discount to new releases and pre-orders for video game purchases.
The new release discount is within two weeks of the launch. The discount is good for physical releases, including special editions, but isn’t valid with console bundle packages.
If you’re unfamiliar with Amazon Prime, you get free two-day shipping on most purchases, launch day delivery for new releases, a streaming video service similar to Netflix, a streaming music service similar to Spotify (which you can also stream any of your digital music purchases that you’ve made through Amazon on), and an unlimited cloud photo storage service. You get that for $99.99 a year.
All in all, it was a great deal before, but adding this feature almost makes it silly to not have Amazon Prime.
