If you can’t get enough of the mobile game, Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector, then I guess this movie should be right up your alley. Releasing April 8th in Japan, Neko Atsume No Ie is running with the cat-hoarding premise of the game.
The premise of the movie is an author moves into a house, befriends a cat that inspires him, and then the cat leaves him. You know, because that’s just how cats roll. The author then does everything he can to try to win over the cat and lure him back into hanging out with him again. It’s just absurd enough that it might work!
No release outside of Japan has been announced, but I’m sure it’ll hit some sort of streaming platform at some point.
