Welcome to Mighty Morphin May! Every week this month, Jason Arriola and Dominic Chavez are going to be picking games based on the Power Rangers. We’re not just covering the “Mighty Morphin” era, but Mighty Morphin May has a nice ring to it, so we hope you can forgive us that technicality!
We were originally going to do the Game Boy Color version of Power Rangers: Time Force, but with the passing Pua Magasiva, who played Shane Clarke, the Red Wind Ranger on Power Rangers: Ninja Storm, we thought it fitting to do this one instead. This wasn’t one we were planning on doing this year. We were planning on saving it for next year, but since it was already in the cards, why not just switch around a little? Besides, it may as well be Mizutani May as well since three of the five Power Rangers soundtracks we’re covering, including this one, were composed by Iku Mizutani.
The ROWYCO theme song, “Kaze Fuma”, was composed by chibi-tech and our logo was designed by Melissa Diaz. Like what you hear?
