Welcome to Mighty Morphin May! Every week this month, Jason Arriola and Dominic Chavez are going to be picking games based on the Power Rangers. We’re not just covering the “Mighty Morphin” era, but Mighty Morphin May has a nice ring to it, so we hope you can forgive us that technicality!
As promised (now two episodes in a row), we’re covering Power Rangers: Time Force for the Game Boy Color. Once again, Iku Mizutani really put in the work on this one. There’s a theme with different variations, something that almost seems out of his normal work, and even things that really sound like sample submissions to Konami for a Castlevania game. All of these really show off Mizutani’s range and just how competent the Game Boy is when it comes to making cool music.
The ROWYCO theme song, “Kaze Fuma”, was composed by chibi-tech and our logo was designed by Melissa Diaz. Like what you hear?
