Jason Arriola and Dominic Chavez finish up their tribute to the longtime Editor-in-Chief of RPGamer, Michael ” Macstorm” Cunningham. We take a deep look into the second disc of the Ys Seven soundtrack for what is easily our longest episode yet. This episode also acts as a great primer for people looking to get into Falcom Sound Team jdk. We break down the tracks we listened to as usual, but we talk about how we feel about Falcom Sound Team jdk as a whole based on this soundtrack. Hopefully, that will act as a good reference point for us and for you so we don’t need to repeat our feelings every single time they come up (odds are they’re going to come up a fair amount over the course of this podcast’s life).
RPGamer did some wonderful tributes to Mac. There was a callout for friends and other people in the industry to share some of their favorite memories of Mac. One of RPGamer’s podcasts, Q&A Quest, did an episode about Mac. Another of their podcasts, Active Topical Banter, recently put up what would be Mac’s final appearance on that show. The staff also put together a list of some of their favorite pieces of his. Finally, Mike Salbato of RPGFan and Donald Theriault of Nintendo World Report also wrote their own memories of Mac on their respective sites.
