Gods be praised, one of my favorite games from 2013, State of Decay, is getting a sequel. State of Decay 2 is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017. While the details are pretty minimal, the game takes place in the same setting as the original, Trumball Valley. There’s also a tagline of “Nobody survives alone” in the trailer, indicating that it will feature co-op.
The original State of Decay suffered a bit from the hardware that it was on, with a fair amount of pop-in and framerate issues. The port to the Xbox One saw a lot of those same issues fixed, so I can only hope we see the same lack of technical problems on its sequel.
