I like to be timely and keep you up-to-date on all of the happening video game news, so let’s talk about a story that broke nearly three weeks ago. The previously PC exclusive and follow up to the fantastic XCOM: Enemy Unknown (and Enemy Within), XCOM 2 is finally set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After previously stating that it would never release on consoles, Firaxis announced that XCOM 2 would be making its way to current generation hardware in North America on September 6, 2016 and internationally on September 9, 2016.
XCOM 2 offers up “new procedural maps and gameplay, ensuring an unpredictable setting and challenge every mission.” In a post on PlayStation Blog, Garth DeAngelis ( ) stated that the fun, challenge, and unpredictability of the PC version will remain fully intact. It is said to be a “behemoth” of a game and you’ll be able to send your friends to almost certain death in XCOM 2 in just a few short months.
